The Journey Home

Every step, every document, every deadline — we're with you. Here's how the journey typically unfolds.

  • Sarah Edmunds, intended parent and surrogacy advocate who built her practice from personal experience

    Step 1: Free Consultation

We start by understanding your situation — your agency, your carrier, your family structure, your timeline. You leave knowing exactly what legal steps are required and what they'll cost. No surprises.

  • Pregnant woman in a white dress standing on a beach with water and sunlight in the background, holding her belly with both hands.

    Step 2: Gestational Carrier Agreement

Before any medical procedures begin, your GCA must be signed. We draft, review, and finalize the agreement — working with your carrier's independent attorney as required by law.

  • Close-up of a baby's legs and feet in a wicker bassinet near a window.

Step 3: Medical Process & Monitoring

While your clinic handles the medical side, we stay available. Questions about your agreement? Changes in the plan? We're reachable — not just during business hours.

  • Stack of folded baby clothes on a crib sheet with stuffed animals and a heart-shaped pillow in the background.

    Step 4: Pre-Birth Order

We file for your pre-birth parentage order in the appropriate jurisdiction, so your name is on the birth certificate from day one. Timing depends on your state; we manage the timeline.

  • A newborn baby lying on a soft surface with a white blanket, getting a gentle massage from an adult's hands.

Step 5: Birth & Hospital Coordination

We coordinate directly with the hospital to ensure your birth certificate is prepared correctly. For international clients, we're available by WhatsApp throughout the delivery period.

  • Travel essentials including a camera, a straw hat, a passport, a packing list, a notebook, and folded clothes on a white surface.

    Step 6: Passport Application

This is where most families hit their first real obstacle — and where we do something no one else does. We accompany you to the passport office, handle the application in person, and deliver the completed passport to your hotel or residence. We aim for 7–10 business days from application.

  • A wooden bowl with caramel sauce and a wooden spoon, with a hand reaching towards it.

    Step 7: Social Security Registration

We coordinate the Social Security application for your child before you travel, so it's processed while you're still in the U.S. — eliminating the international delay.

  • A baby lying in a woven basket on a white dresser, looking up at a hanging mobile with felt balls in green, yellow, and beige. The background is a plain white wall.

    Step 8: Home.

"You've waited long enough. Now go be a family."

Once every document is in order, we don't just say goodbye — we do a final review to make sure you're fully set for the journey home.
